IMO I thrift alot and if it isn't firmly in your hand, it's fair game. ALWAYS grab anything you might want, move it, and decide if you actually want it later.

If you hadn't moved it yet, it was still in the blue cart and fair game. I know it sounds terrible but this is how our thrifts work. I've had things grabbed from under my hand and I don't have any ill will towards the people. I know I should have moved faster.
